The purpose of the London Music Awards is to help celebrate and promote London's music scene.
There is much to celebrate - we have over 25 categories of music and music-related activities - in London!
The awards promote our music industry by giving fans the opportunity to nominate their favourite musicians and other industry players and then by holding a vote. Those who receive the greatest number of votes receive The London Music Award in their category.
The London Music Awards also promotes London musicians at three key music festivals in North America. They are Canadian Music Week International (CMW) The North by Northeast Music Festival (NXNE) and the South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW).
Finally, the winners are announced each year at our ceremony. The ceremony features live performances and gives the recipients the opportunity to acknowledge their fans, friends and competitors in the London music scene.
